I think the recipe called for jalepenos in the jar similar you lot put on nachos. That'due south why they said 2 tsp if juice. If yous cut whole jalepenos they don't produce juice. Information technology just wasn't clear in the instructions.

What kind of jalapeños are used? Pickled? fresh?

I loved these and the flavor was bang-up. Enjoyed the jalapeno bite it had. My boys' are young and idea it was as well spicy then may scale down a little for them.

Fantastic recipe! I made 8 servings, but took the advice of other reviewers that information technology was a piddling too spicy, so I simply used the amount of jalapeños and cayenne for the 4 serving size, and it came out Delicious! My entire family loved it.. including my 6 twelvemonth old! Will definitely make once again.. and definitely pass information technology on. Cheers!

THis ones a keeper! Information technology was way ameliorate than Taco bells and then simple to make! My kids asked for more even though it was style to spicy for them! Next time i will add together barely any jelapenos. Thank you for sharing this astonishing recipe!

You are a life saver !! I've searched loftier and low for a place to buy Taco Bell's creamy jalapeño sauce . This recipe fabricated it sense of taste exactly Taco Bell's. Instead of chicken I made it with shrimp and crab meat and it came out perfect . Likewise I was unable to produce any juice from mincing the jalapeños , using dark-green tobasco was a perfect substitute .Can't thank you enough !

My family and I spent close to a decade trying to crack this recipe and never even got close. I ever experimented with chipotle sauce and chilis, and while the sauces I produced were decent, they were embarrassing by comparison. When I finally institute this recipe it seemed too good to be true, only lo and behold... The start few times I fabricated this I went through hell trying to smash the minced jalapenos in lodge to produce small quantities of juice. This night I picked up a bottle of dark-green Tabasco sauce and put it to the test. Information technology works wonderfully in this recipe and I can't tell the deviation.

I doubled this with about 1 1/four lb of chest "tenders" (there were 7 in the pack) and ended upwardly with pretty 6 well-blimp large tortillas. I used a semi-quick marinade (~2hrs) of 1/2 fajita and mesquite store-bought stuff and grill outside on the gas grill until just washed. This really adds to the overall flavor IMO. Used l/l light mayo and light sour foam (i/4c each) and jalapeño tomatillo sauce (Kroger) in place of jalapeño juice, every bit others suggested similar substitutes. One-half medium cheddar and jack cheeses and skipped the American slices. (As well left out the salt considering of the marinade has enough sodium I'm sure.)

I added nearly a teaspoon of ketchup to balance out the flavors of the sauce. Other than that, information technology'south PERFECT!

The recipe allows for easy estimating the spices, and it still tasted awesome! Stuck the whole thing in a preheated oven after pressing information technology together with my manus. Super recipe! Next time I will premix a batch of spices and get some jalapenos!

I've made this recipe many times and it is slap-up!The only thing I do unlike is I apply sour cream instead of mayo.I also like a piddling chopped onion, tomatoes, green pepper in my quesadillas. If you use these make sure you blot the tomatoes with a paper towel first so they don't add as well mch moisture and make information technology soggy.
